NEWTON'S LAWS APPLICATIONS
Newton's laws are perhaps the single most important set of physical laws in all of engineering. Newton's laws govern the motion of any dynamic system (provided its speed is not significant relative the speed of light) and also the forces and moments at play in static systems. Newton's laws are used to derive equations of motion for rigid dynamic systems, elastic dynamic systems (as in aeroelasticity), fluid systems (continuum and non-continuum), and static systems. Therefore, it is incredibly important to learn Newton's laws and learn them well. One should note that Newton's laws do begin to break down at very high speeds approaching the speed of light, so in such cases Einstein's special theory of relativity should be used instead.
