STATIC EQUILIBRIUM
Because there are such a large set of applications using static equilibrium in aerospace engineering, the reader is encouraged to the examples and demonstrations in the dynamics and aeroelasticity sections. Specifically, the static equilibrium is typically at time zero and/or before external loads are added to the system (in most cases).
Aircraft in straight and level flight or constant rate maneuvers can be considered in static equilibrium. In addition, components, such as wings are assumed to be in static equilibrium for loads predictions at given flight conditions.
