INTEGRATION

Because there are such a large set of applications using numerical methods, the reader is encouraged to explore any paper that uses computational fluid dynamics. For aerospace applications, the suite of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) journals and the Journal of the American Helicopter Society (JAHS) include a number of these papers.
One of the important applications of integration is to obtain the performance quantities of aerodynamics and structures, such as lift, drag, pitching moment, and root bending moment.
It is important when comparing to experiment that the location of the data obtained by experiments (such as location of pressure taps) is compared with the same locations as the computational simulations. For example, see the paper by Robert T. and Lee-Rausch, Elizabeth M., "An examination of unsteady airloads on a UH-60A rotor: Computation versus measurement," 68th American Helicopter Society International Annual Forum, v 1, p 369-382, 2012.
